Item Summary:
This intersection has been the subject of many citizen calls to the Transportation Department because of the lack of a stop condition for the northbound Donnell Drive approach from the SH 45 Toll frontage road. The All-Way stop condition will better meet drivers' expectations and reduce the risks of side-impact or "T-bone" collisions between the left-turning traffic off of High Country Boulevard and the northbound through traffic on Donnell Drive. In addition to creating an All-Way stop condition, Transportation staff has restriped Donnell Drive to create a non-stop, right-turn only lane for traffic accessing High Country Boulevard. Separating this traffic from the equation enhances drivers' confidence in their decisions at this intersection.
