Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Meadows at Chandler Creek Municipal Utility District regarding the pass-through wastewater line.

The City of Round Rock provides wastewater collection service to the Meadows at Chandler Creek Municipal Utility District (District). The City also provides wastewater service to existing and undeveloped properties located to the south of the District.
The City and the District agree that the most efficient and cost-effective manner for the City to continue providing these properties with wastewater collection service is to pass the wastewater through the existing wastewater lines inside the District boundary. Because of the additional capacity being sent through this line, a wastewater line inside the District will need to be up-sized from an 8-inch wastewater line to a 10-inch wastewater line to handle this flow.
This agreement outlines the requirements of passing through wastewater and up-sizing of the existing wastewater line. The agreement states that the City will be responsible for up-sizing the wastewater line, and the City will in turn place this requirement on future developments requesting to use and add additional connections to the wastewater lines in the District.
