Consider a resolution authorizing the President to execute Supplemental Contract No. 3 with Walker Partners for Engineering Services for the Delivery Point and Raw Water Valve Improvements Project.

This agenda item is Supplemental Contract No. 3 to the BCRUA Delivery Points project. The services to be provided are general administration of the Phase 1 and 2 construction projects. The construction phase services are described in detail in the attached contract and include a resident project representative (RPR) to inspect and assure compliance with construction plans and specifications, engineering services by the firm who designed the instrumentation and controls (I&C) to assure the systems are installed and programmed properly at each site and oversight of the commissioning and start-up of the improvements at the completion of the project to assure everything works the way it is supposed to. Phase 2 is currently out for bids and is scheduled to go to the Board for award at the March 27, 2024 meeting.
Funding:
The original contract was approved in July of 2022 and has since been amended with two (2) previously approved Supplemental Contracts which resulted in a two (2) phase implementation of the improvements. The current total contract amount is $465,945. The total compensation for Supplemental Contract No. 3 will not exceed $296,194 and will increase the total project engineering contract to $762,139. Each owner city will use local funds for their share of this Supplemental Agreement.
Staff and the Operations Committee (OC) have reviewed the attached contract and recommend approval. Staff and representatives of Walker Partners will be present at the Board meeting and will be available to respond to any questions.
