Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 4 with Thalle Construction Co. Inc. for the BCRWWS - East Plant Expansion to 30 MGD Project.
Body
The Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System (BCRWWS) East Plant Expansion to 30 Million Gallons per Day (MGD) is a regional project with Round Rock along with the other owners of the regional system, Austin, Cedar Park, and Leander. Leander bought into the treatment ownership with their participation in this project earlier this year. The percentage participation by each City is shown below.
The BCRWWS East Plant Expansion to 30 MGD provides a myriad of plant improvements which includes an improved treatment process among others. The process change allows the plant to more reliably achieve the more stringent permit limits in its most recent revised permit. The project also adds improved head works and odor control. Thalle Construction was awarded the contract by City Council on April 9, 2020 and work started June 1, 2020.

There are also six other smaller changes.
Since the item with the clean up cost was from a City of Round Rock system project, and not a Regional system project, the City of Round Rock will pay that item without reimbursement from the partner cities. The total amount of the change order ($1,179,308.24) less the City system project clean up cost ($519,325.73) leaves the amount that will be shared among the partner cities ($659,982.51) in amoun...
