Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No.1 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for the Chandler Creek 4 - 15" Wastewater Upsizing Project.

Body

The City of Round Rock’s Wastewater Master Plan, updated in November 2023, identifies several areas of improvement to the wastewater system to serve the ultimate development of all properties within the City’s wastewater service area. The Master Plan has recognized the need to up-size a portion of the existing 12-inch Chandler Creek 4 wastewater line to a 15-inch wastewater line to serve future customers in the basin and accommodate Old Settlers Park expansions.

The wastewater line is generally located within the Ryan’s Crossing subdivision and Old Settlers Park. Beginning near the intersection of Rod Carew Drive and Roberto Clemente Lane, it continues northwest through the subdivision and into Old Settlers Park near Mickey Mantle Place. The line then traverses northwest towards East Old Settlers Boulevard, with the project ending just south of the roadway.

This supplemental contract with Kimley-Horn and Associates will provide engineering services for Phase 1 of the up-sizing, which is the portion within Old Settlers Park, and coordination with the Old Settlers Park Bond Project.

Cost: $266,000.00
