Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with webuildfun, Inc. for the purchase and installation of playground equipment at Old Settlers Park.

This item would allow the City to purchase and install new playground equipment to replace the Joanne Land Playground at Old Settlers Park.  The original playground was demolished as part of the Lakeview Area project.  Joanne Land is one of our most heavily used playgrounds and the usage of the playground led to the components needing repairs frequently.  The replacement playground equipment chosen for Joanne Land is at the forefront of the industry. In fact, this will be the first-ever installation of the equipment, so the playground will be featured in the manufacturer's catalogue. Due to the City's partnership with the manufacturer, they are offering the City a $230,000.00 discount on the play equipment, as well as an upgrade in the playground surfacing from engineered wood fiber to poured-in-place rubber surfacing.

Cost: $1,870,000.00
