Body

The regional wastewater collection system of the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System (BCRWWS), is owned by the Cities of Austin, Cedar Park, Leander, and Round Rock.  The scope of work for this project includes inspection of regional interceptors located within the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone (EARZ).  According to the TCEQ rules pertaining to the Edwards Aquifer, all lines within the recharge zone must be inspected every five years.   This contract provides for the collection of video, sonar inspection, and laser detected ovality of the regional interceptors located within the Edwards Aquifer Recharge Zone. The interceptors range from 12-inches to 84-inches in diameter and total 41,288 linear feet in length.  Listed below are the percentages associated with each of the entities’ ownership in the regional lines on this project:

City of Cedar Park - 29.80%           City of Austin - 26.15%               City of Round Rock - 28.42%
City of Leander - 11.51%                Brushy Creek MUD - 2.85 %      Fern Bluff MUD - 1.27 %

Round Rock's share of this project is $40,580.95.  Since the City will administer the contract and be reimbursed for the other City's shares of the costs per the Master Agreement with the partners in the BCRWWS, we are requesting approval of the entire $142,790.10 contract.
