Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Professional Consulting Services Agreement with Heart of Texas (HOT) Inspection Services, Inc. for on-call Quality Assurance Surveillance.

As part of the City of Round Rock's contract requirements for construction, the City is responsible for providing special inspections and materials testing. This agreement with HOT Inspection Services, Inc. is for quality assurance related to visual steel inspections, welding inspections, x-ray interpretations of welds, high strength bolting inspections, and other structural connection inspections. HOT Inspection Services is AWS, ASNT, Corporate Level III NDE, and NACE Level II & III/ AMPP Certified, fulfilling all industry requirements. Hot Inspections has a long standing history with the City of Round Rock providing services on projects such as Fire Stations 4,8,3, and 1; Public Safety Training Center, Round Rock Sports Center, Bob Bennett Complex, and Round Rock Public Library. This agreement, for on-call services, will allow the City to utilize HOT Inspection Services for the upcoming construction of the Griffith and Paseo, Public Safety Training Center Phase II, Old Settlers Park Buildout, Sports Center Expansion, Bob Bennett Additional Phases and Fire Station 10 projects.
Cost: $400,000.00
