Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract for Engineering Services with Kimley-Horn and Associates for the Harrell Parkway Reconstruction Project.

Body

This contract request is for the professional engineering up to a 30% complete package for the reconstruction of Harrell Parkway to a 2-lane rural roadway section with selected left turn lane locations. This project will also include upgrading of low water crossing at McNutt Creek with a bridge and the separation of pedestrians and traffic at several locations by use of either an elevated roadway or elevated sidewalk. The project will also include lighting and the ability to place landscaping by others. This will allow for the initial planning and options to be explored and then a fee will be proposed to develop the remainder PS&E documents, assist with bidding and to provide a small amount of construction phase services.

The cost proposed by Kimley-Horn Inc. to complete this work to a 30% status is $654,760.00.
