Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Amended and Restated Cooperative Agreement for the Williamson County and Cities Health District.

Currently, the Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) utilizes the calendar year for their budget, while the member cities utilize the fiscal year (Oct-Sept). Aligning with the fiscal year of its member cities will allow WCCHD to streamline financial reporting and budgeting processes, as well as enhance coordination in resource allocation. On May 8, 2024, at the Board of Health Meeting, the Board approved a change to align the WCCHD fiscal year with those of its member governments. Since the dates of the Health District’s fiscal year are specified in the Cooperative Agreement, this change requires an amendment to Section 7.1 of the 2021 Amended and Restated Cooperative Agreement. This amendment must be approved by each member city’s governing body to enable this change.
The WCCHD, Williamson County, and the City of Round Rock legal counsels have reviewed the proposed change and have no concerns.
