Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Guaranteed Price Amendment to the Construction Manager at Risk Standard Form of Agreement between the City and Spawglass Contractors, Inc. for the Old Settlers Buildout Project - Harrell Parkway (Package 3A.1).

Body

The Round Rock City Council previously approved a Construction Manager at Risk agreement with Spawglass Contractors, Inc. for the delivery of the Old Settlers Park Buildout Project constructing Harrell Parkway from US 79 to Old Settlers Drive. Improvements will consist of pavement reconstruction (maintaining a two-lane section), bridge replacement at Chandler Branch, intersection improvements, culvert improvements, approximately one-half mile of roadway realignment, two new pedestrian grade separations (overpass and underpass), and retaining walls to support embankments. Additionally, a new Kenney Fort Connection approximately 900 ft north of the Dell Diamond parking lot will be constructed to provide better traffic out of the park. As part of this project, two natural grass fields will be relocated (Apex Field Relocation) with increased parking located centrally in the park. This Guaranteed Maximum Price for the first phase of Harrell Parkway, Apex Fields, and associated parking, titled Old Settlers Buildout Project - Harrell Parkway (Package 3A.1), is for $28,334,737.00. The work package includes the construction of Harrell Parkway from Aten Loop to Whitlow Way. With City Council approval of the Guaranteed Maximum Price Amendment, construction could start in October 2024 and be performed in conjunction with the Lakeview Project.
