Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an lnterlocal Cooperation Agreement with the City of Hutto regarding a Wastewater Certificate of Convenience and Necessity service area amendment for a property located at the southeast corner of Red Bud Lane and County Road 123.

 

Body

The City of Hutto is entering into an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement with the City of Round Rock to amend their respective Wastewater Certificate of Convenience and Necessity (CCN) boundaries with the Public Utility Commission.  The affected tract, located at the southeast corner of Red Bud Lane and County Road 123, lies within Round Rock's corporate limits, but falls within Hutto's wastewater CCN service area. The developer, Pulte Homes, has requested Round Rock to provide retail wastewater service to the tract in lieu of Hutto.  Both cities have agreed to the boundary amendment, contingent upon Pulte providing financial compensation to Hutto for the release of its service area rights.  A separate agreement between Hutto and Pulte governs the terms of that compensation.​
