Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Master Interlocal Participation Agreement for the GoodBuy Purchasing Cooperative.
Body
State Law allows cities to enter into Interlocal Agreements between governing bodies to satisfy bidding requirements when purchasing goods and services. The purpose of this agreement is to provide the City another option to facilitate compliance with State bidding requirements and realize administrative efficiencies and cost savings.
This agreement is very similar to other cooperatives that the City uses to purchase goods and services as well as a source to use when comparing vendor costs. This particular agreement will provide access to vendors providing vehicles and equipment as well as a variety of other commodities and services that could be used by the City if the need arises.
