Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 6 with Patin Construction, LLC for the Old Settlers Boulevard Extension Project.

Body

The Old Settler's Boulevard Extension Project provides a new connection from Red Bud Lane North (CR 122) to CR 110. The project included construction of a four-lane divided roadway and a bridge over McNutt Creek. With the extension now complete, residents in the City's northeast quadrant will benefit from improved east-west connectivity.

Quantity Adjustment/Change Order (QA/CO) No. 6 reconciles the final quantities of bid items used throughout the project. Several soil stabilization items were ultimately unnecessary due to favorable soil conditions encountered during construction. In addition, permanent grass was successfully established without the need for temporary seeding. The largest cost reductions resulted from not having to use the erosion control and safety contingency line items.  In total, these Quantity Adjustments generated a savings of $321,959.50 to the project.

We appreciate our partnership with Patin Construction and their commitment to working closely with the City to deliver this quality infrastructure project on schedule and under the original contract amount by $194,537.00.
