Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement for Architectural Services and accompanying Supplemental Agreement No. 1 with McKinney York Architects for the Fire Station No. 10 Project.

Body

The City of Round Rock Fire Department has identified land Northwest of the intersection of Old Settlers Blvd. and Red Bud Lane for Fire Station No. 10 new construction of the City’s prototype fire station, for increased response times to the area.

This resolution is for an Architectural Services Agreement between McKinney York Architects and the City of Round Rock for design changes to the prototype design and construction administration services. The design for Fire Station No. 10 will be a four-bay station, similar to Fire Station No. 1, with the building footprint mirrored to accommodate the new site layout. McKinney York Architects has provided similar services for Fire Station No. 3 and Fire Station No. 1, making them familiar with the design and a cost effective choice for Fire Station No. 10.

Cost: $284,200.00
