Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Advance Funding Agreement for a Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside (TASA) Program Project with Texas Department of Transportation for the Heritage Trail East Project.

Body

The Parks and Recreation Department was awarded a Transportation Alternative Grant in the amount of $6,302,417 (with $318,159 indirect state cost associated with it) for the Heritage Trail East Project.   The Grant is an 80%-20% matching grant, so the City will be responsible for $1,575,604 associated with the grant.  This item is the draft Advanced Funding Agreement.  This item must be completed prior to the City being able to put the project out for bid. The anticipated cost to the City for this money is estimated at $192,303.00 from the City to TxDOT for the State's direct costs to manage the TASA program for the FHWA.
