Consider a resolution authorizing the submittal of a grant application for funding from the CAMPO Surface Transportation Block Grant for the construction of Deep Wood Drive Extension.

Transportation is proposing to apply for CAMPO (Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization) Call for projects for FY 2028 funding. Deep Wood Drive Extension is a candidate for the Surface Transportation Block Grant (STBG) program, under the category of Infrastructure construction. If awarded, the City and Williamson County would provide a total of 40% of the construction costs, while 60% would be reimbursed via the grant program.
The current construction estimate is: $16M
Cost breakdown:
CAMPO: $9.6M
City of Round Rock: $3.2M
Williamson County: $3.2M
Deep Wood Drive Extension is one of four applications, which if all awarded, would obligate the City to $25M in matching.
