Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Royal Vista, Inc. for the Round Rock West Area 5 Water, Wastewater, and Storm Drain Improvements Project.

On February 24, 2022, the City executed an Engineering services contract with LJA Engineering, Inc. This contract included design phase services for improvements towards the existing water, wastewater, and stormwater systems to help alleviate overwhelmed and aging systems.
The design included the addition of new stormwater curb inlets, pipe, and box culverts, as well as replacing the main lines and lateral services for the water and wastewater utilities. The street improvements included full depth street reconstruction along with pavement markings and the reconstruction of disturbed structures, such as sidewalks, driveways, curb and gutter.
On July 29, 2024, the City received three bids for the construction of the designed improvements. The City is recommending to contract with Royal Vista, Inc. for the execution of the construction of the Base Bid for the Round Rock West Area 5 Water, Wastewater, and Storm Drain Improvements Project for a total contract award of $3,867,802. The engineer’s construction estimate for the Base Bid was $4,427,772.
