Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Services Agreement with the property owners of 230.08 acres of land being a portion of Briggs Tract, located south of Westinghouse Road and east of CR 110.

Body

Property owners Debra Kay and Marc Briggs request a municipal services agreement from the City of Round Rock. The agreement is for the City to provide the site with all standard municipal services upon annexation, including water, wastewater, stormwater, solid waste, and emergency services. Currently the subject tract lies within a split service boundary for water providers, with service shared between the City of Round Rock and the Jonah Special Utility District. The city has the right to serve approximately 153 acres that aligns with the boundaries of what was originally in the city's ETJ. Jonah has the right to serve the remaining 77 acres, which aligns with the boundaries of what was previously in the City of Georgetown's ETJ. Should the 77 acres be released from Jonah's CCN, the city would accept the land into its CCN and provide water service. The cost of any utility extensions to serve the property will be the responsibility of the property owner or eventual developer.

This is one of a series of actions on this agenda related to the creation of an in-city Municipal Utility District containing 900-plus single-family homes. On the attached aerial map, the property subject to the services agreement is outlined in red, which is all the land proposed to be included in the in-city MUD.
