Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 2 with Kimley-Horn and Associates, Inc. for the Chandler Creek 4 - 15" Wastewater Upsizing Project.
Body
The City Wastewater Master Plan (Master Plan), updated in November 2023, identified several areas of improvement to the wastewater system to serve the ultimate development of properties within the City’s wastewater service area. The Master Plan has recognized the need to upsize a portion of the existing 12-inch Chandler Creek 4 wastewater line to a 15-inch to serve future customers in the basin and accommodate the Old Settlers Park expansion.
The wastewater line is generally located within the Ryan’s Crossing subdivision and Old Settlers Park. It begins just south of East Old Settlers Boulevard, traversing southeast along Old Settlers Park, with Phase 1 ending near Mickey Mantle Place. The line then continues south on Rod Carew Drive through the subdivision and ends at the intersection of Rod Carew Drive and Roberto Clemente Lane.
The Previous Supplemental No. 1 supported the design and construction for Phase 1, which upsized the first section of 12-inch wastewater line through Old Settlers Park. This Supplemental No. 2 contract will provide engineering services for Phase 2, upsizing the last section of the line, which is the portion within Ryan’s Crossing Subdivision.
Cost: $243,540.00
Source of Funds: Self-Financed Wastewater Construction
