Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Cellco Partnership for cellular and data services.
Body
This is a 4 year agreement with Cellco Partnership d/b/a Verizon Wireless for the purchase of cellular and data services. This is a companion or supplemental agreement to DIR contract No. DIR-TELE-CTSA-003 and covers purchases from Verizon or any of Verizon's channel partners or authorized resellers. It authorizes the City to pay Verizon or its authorized resellers an amount not-to-exceed $625,000.00 annually for a total not-to-exceed of $2,500,000.00 for the 4 year term of the agreement.
The agreement will expire alongside the DIR contract that it supplements on November 5, 2025 and covers the estimated annual costs of all city departments cellular and data services which is broken down into the following:
Total lines of service: 1,234
- 720 iPhones
- 192 iPads
- 277 Public Safety in-vehicle routers
- 25 UES Water Control System Hotspots
- 20 Library Loaner hotspots for public use
This agreement also covers our citywide MDM (Mobile Device Management) system and Intrepid public safety notification system. The MobileIron MDM provides security and enterprise management all of City issued iPhones and iPads. The Intrepid paging system is a web and mobile platform that provides both event notification paging and location services and is our primary emergency and event notification solution for Police, Fire, Emergency Operations and Communications staff.
Cost: $2,500,000.00
