Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Smith Pump Company, Inc. for the purchase of pump repair services for Raw Water Intake #8 and #9.

Body

The City of Round Rock owns and maintains a raw water pump station at Lake Georgetown. Currently, the City has nine raw water pumps that provide the source water for Round Rock’s water treatment plant. Pumps #7, #8, and #9 are particularly critical because these pumps connected to the backup generator and can provide raw water in an power outage emergency.

Smith Pump recently investigated failures of pumps #8 and #9. Based on their inspection, Smith Pump recommended pump repairs for pump #8 and the total replacement of pump and motor #9. This contract is for the repairs and replacements recommended by Smith Pump.

Cost: $399,000.00
