Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Central Road & Utility, Ltd. for the Forest Creek Lift Station Rehabilitation Project.

The Forest Creek Lift Station was constructed in 1992 and provides service to the Forest Creek Subdivision area. As Forest Creek Subdivision developed, four additional lift stations were installed and all flows from these lift stations drain to the Forest Creek Lift Station. The lift station is in need of rehabilitation and a backup generator.
Engineering services with Lockwood, Andrews, and Newnam, Inc. (LAN) for preliminary design of the Forest Creek Lift Station was approved October 30, 2015. The study consisted of rehabilitation of the existing wet well and mechanical components replacement, as well as a new backup generator. Relocating the lift station was also considered.
On April 14, 2016, a Supplemental Agreement No. 1 was approved for engineering design and construction phase services of the Forest Creek Lift Station based on recommendations from the recently completed preliminary design report.
On December 21, 2016, eight bids were submitted and the lowest bid in the amount of $558,316.60 was submitted by Central Road & Utility, LTD. This amount was below the engineer's estimate of $575,890.00.
