Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract for Engineering Services with HR Green, Inc. for the SH 130 Wastewater Extension Project.

Body

The City of Round Rock’s Wastewater Master Plan, updated in November 2023, identified several areas of improvement to the wastewater system to serve the ultimate development of all properties within the City’s wastewater service area. The Master Plan has identified the need to serve areas within the City’s ETJ east of State Highway 130 with a lift station to direct flows to the Brushy Creek East Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.

An evaluation and conceptual basis of design was recently completed for the Cottonwood Lift Station and Force Main project, intending to connect the future force main to the McNutt Interceptor. The project was then broken into two phases. The SH130 wastewater extension project, serving as phase one, includes the installation of approximately 1,800 linear feet of gravity wastewater main across SH130, which will connect to an existing wastewater manhole on the west side of SH130.

This agenda item is for the approval of phase one for an engineering contract with HR Green to provide design, bid, and construction phase services to extend the wastewater line across SH130. The total for engineering services is $316,716.50.

Cost: $316,716.50
