Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Quantity Adjustment/Change Order No. 2 with Patin Construction, LLC for the Heritage Trail West Project.
Body
This Change Order with Patin Construction includes wrapping a bridge abutment with limestone block. The original contract called to keep the abutment as its existing finish (natural concrete) but as everything was being completed around it, the decision was made to clad it with rock for aesthetic reasons. Additionally, this change order includes adding irrigation and landscaping around the Stagecoach Inn. This scope was not originally included because at the time of original bid (prior to the bankruptcy), the Stagecoach Inn Rehabilitation Project was not planned. Since the Stagecoach Inn is now being rehabilitated, it makes sense to do the landscape and irrigation at the same time. This scope of work will be paid for utilizing the Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund. Finally, this change order includes replacing the water line under the creek and farther to the south. Originally, the plan to upgrade the water line stopped on the norther side of Brushy Creek. However, when the contractor uncovered the line, it was determined that it was installed improperly and needed to be moved completely. The Utilities Department requested to continue the replacement under Brushy Creek and farther south since the road is currently closed and the relocation wouldn't require a subsequent road closure. This scope of work will be paid for by the Water Self-Finance Construction budget.

The programmatic elements of the project will include historical, educational, arts & cultural, and general park elements. All elements encourage comm...
