Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a construction contract with Central Road and Utility, LTD (CRU) for the Lampasas Storm Trooper Project.
Body
This project will install a water quality collection system (aka: Storm Trooper) in the Lampasas Street right-of-way, including all related storm water piping and appurtenances. This system will treat run-off water in compliance with Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) standards. The installation of this system will provide increased capacity allowing for additional public and private development in the affected area.
The bid opening for the Lampasas Street Storm Trooper Project was held on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Two (2) sealed bids were received and opened, the results of which are below. The construction contract being awarded is a base bid only with no alternates. The bid review process for this project has been completed by the project engineer, and it is their recommendation that we award the project to the low bidder, Central Road and Utility, LTD.
