Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Contract for the FY2014 Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) Maintenance, Equipment and Training with the Central Area Emergency Communications District (CAECD).
Body
This interlocal contract provides for the City's participation in the regional enhanced 9-1-1 system. The contract is so the City can maintain it's PSAP, upgrade 9-1-1 equipment and train its personnel to participate in the Next Generation 9-1-1 emergency communications system in the district. The CAECD will compensate the City up to $5,000 for it's purchase of supplies needed for the continuous operation of its PSAP.
This is a regular renewal of this interlocal contract and this terms is from September 1, 2013 through September 1, 2014.
