Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Smith Contracting Co., Inc. for the South Mays at Mays Crossing Drive Intersection Improvements Project.

Body

On November 20, 2015 a single sealed bid was received by Smith Contracting Co., Inc. for the South Mays at Mays Crossing Drive Intersection Improvements .  The work consists of relocation of a private drvieway to the commercial property on the east side of Mays to align with Mays Crossing and the installation of a traffic signal. The intersection has met signal warrants for some time. The bid was read and reviewed by Kimley Horn.  A single math error was noted for items 0684 6030, however, that error did not affect the overall bid total, which was found to be correct.

The total bid was within budget.

Cost: $381,984.70
