Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Agreement with Ryan Sanders Sports Services for professional turf management services for the Multi-Purpose Fields Complex at Old Settlers Park.

To maintain the championship level of playing surface desired at the new Multipurpose Complex, the Sports Management & Tourism department recommends entering into this agreement with Ryan Sanders Sports Turf Services for overall maintenance and upkeep of the five natural grass fields on the complex. RSSTS will be responsible for all maintenance management of the fields, to include: mowing, fertilization, irrigation, equipment, personnel, etc.
In joining forces with RSSTS these fields will be maintained to a level consistent with professional baseball and soccer stadiums and will give us the premier quality venue the City desires. This agreement will also eliminate the need for the SM&T department to purchase maintenance equipment directly, which would be required if the turf was maintained internally.
This will be a three year agreement with a cost of $160,725 annually.
