Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute and Agreement with DigDug Construction, LLC for creek and channel debris removal services.

Body

As part of the 2020 Stormwater Master Plan Update, the City conducted a creek maintenance evaluation and developed a creek maintenance plan for approximately 35,000 linear feet of creeks, determined as critical areas.  The evaluation included evaluations of potential debris accumulation locations along the creek reaches and stream crossings that could potentially result in a flood hazard.  Each of the identified areas were individually scored and prioritized based on the evaluation findings.

An invitation for bids (IFB) was processed in July 2023 for the proposed work. The IFB solicitation was advertised in the Round Rock Leader newspaper and posted to the City of Round Rock solicitation website. A total of two vendor responses were received and it has been determined that DigDug Construction LLC and Looks Great Services both offer a good value to the City; therefore, the Utilities and Environmental Services Department recommends awarding a contract to both DigDug Construction LLC and Looks Great Services for creek and channel debris removal required to support City operations.  This contract is with DigDug Construction, LLC for $250,000. The term of this contract is for five years.
