Body

The purpose of this agenda item is to request approval for entering into an agreement with Smith Pump Company, Inc., until June 30, 2028. The City of Round Rock's water system serves the population of the City's residents. The City operates multiple water treatment sites and facilities that treat millions of gallons of water per day. The pumps and motors that operate these facilities are crucial for treatment of our system's water; therefore, proper and timely maintenance and repair is essential to the City of Round Rock. Smith Pump Company, Inc. is a local company who already contributes and serves the City’s pump and motor needs, including the City’s raw intake pumping facility at Lake Georgetown.

Smith Pump Company, Inc. has provided reliable equipment and troubleshooting to the City in the past years. This agreement will cover purchases of pump and motor repairs and installations, as well as services for existing equipment.

The total contract amount will be $480,000 until June 30, 2028.
