Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Andale Construction for the 2017 Street Maintenance Program - Project 5 - High Density Mineral Bond Project.

 

Body

The City of Round Rock manages more than 1,150 lane miles of roadways within its jurisdiction. In order to preserve, and / or improve , the conditions of existing roadways, the City has developed a Street Maintenance Program (SMP). This program allows the City to monitor the state of its roadways and systematically repair, and / or overlay our city streets. The 2017 High Density Mineral Bond- Project 5 will provide a long lasting and durable driving surface for the specific streets within this area. This Project includes a pavement seal that protects and revitalizes the pavement surface.

 

On July 17, 2018 at 10:00am, bids were received and opened. One (1) responsive bid proposal was submitted:

 

Andale Paving $301,399.00

 

The engineer's opinion of probable construction cost was estimated at $300,000.00 Based upon the careful review of the Bid Tabulation, the Transportation Department recommends the City of Round Rock approval of award to Andale Paving Inc. in the amount of $301,399.00
