A total of eight sealed bids were reviewed and opened on July 28, 2026 for the sidewalk project to be completed on Parkside Circle. Two of the bids submitted contained inconsistencies and were rejected. The range of the remaining six bids was from $203,454.17 to $396,5700.00. Ratliff Hardscape, Ltd from Carrollton, Texas submitted the lowest bid in the amount of $203,454.17. The engineer's opinion of probably construction cost for this project was $257,735.24. References were checked and no significant issues were reported. After reviewing the contractor's experience, references, and bid price, the department recommends award of this project to Ratliff Hardscape, Ltd. in the amount of $203,454.17. A CDBG HUD Entitlement grant will be used to fund this project.
