Consider a resolution casting votes for the Williamson Central Appraisal District Board of Directors.
The Williamson Central Appraisal District (WCAD) Board is comprised of nine (9) directors. Five board members are elected by the taxing entities within Williamson County, three members are publicly elected, and the Tax Assessor-Collector, Larry Gaddes, serves as the ninth member.
Last year, two members were appointed to one-year terms. The term of these one-year appointments expires December 31, 2025. These two positions will be appointed to a four-year term beginning January 1, 2026.
WCAD sent the official ballot containing the following candidates for the 2025 election:
Lisa Birkman
Jon Lux
Clint Stephenson
According to Section 6.03 of the Texas Property Tax Code, each taxing entity must submit their vote by resolution to the Chief Appraiser before December 15, 2025. This resolution will fulfill that requirement.
The City of Round Rock receives 205 votes, out of 5,000 total votes county wide. The number of votes allocated to each taxing entity is based upon each jurisdiction’s percentage of the total 2024 countywide levy. These votes may be allocated for one candidate or for multiple candidates.
