Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute two (2) Letter Agreements with Union Pacific Railroad Company extending the License Agreements (Audit Nos. 302659 and 302660) regarding the McNeil Road Extension Railroad Culverts Project.

Body

The City is required to execute two extension of work letters with Union Pacific Railroad (UPRR) in order move forward with a culvert project near McNeil Road, east of downtown Round Rock. These letters are required to be executed to allow the City more time to assemble and bid the culvert replacement contract in order to install three new culverts under the UPRR near the east end of McNeil Road. These extension letters have a cost of $1,000 each associated with them being executed.  Therefore, a $2,000 check will need to be included with the letters when returned to UPRR. Upon UPRR's execution and the City's receipt of the final letters, the culvert replacement project may be moved forward for bidding and construction.

Cost: $2,000.00
