The property, part of the unrecorded subdivision of Westview Estates, is within the ETJ (extraterritorial jurisdiction) and contiguous with the city limits. The property owners have submitted a written request for annexation of the parcels. In addition, an order was approved by the Commissioners Court of Williamson County, approving the annexation of the right-of-way for Westview Drive. The City is annexing the property in accordance with Section 43.0671 of the Texas Local Government Code, which requires this public hearing, in addition to a written agreement between the City and the owners for the provision of services in the area. The municipal service agreement is a separate agenda item. A subsequent item on this agenda contains the property owners' request for PUD (Planned Unit Development) zoning for the tracts.
