Title
Special recognition of three 5th grade students who won the video contest at the end of the City sponsored Water Education Program with Round Rock ISD.
Body
During the 2004-2025 acdemic school year, Tinker LLC supported water education efforts across Round Rock through a partnership with the City of Round Rock Water Utilities. The Water Education Program was designed to educate 5th grade students on water conservation, our water supply system, and other local water issues through a locally focused, classroom-based curriculum. Tinker LLC and Round Rock Water Utilities staff developed and delivered a standards-aligned program featuring STEM-based activities, digital resources, student contests, teacher grant opportunities, and Water Conservation Kits with water-saving devices for each student. This school year, 7 schools participated in the program, representing 16 teachers and 419 fifth-grade students. Each student received a Water Conservation Kit and access to digital learning resources.
The end of school year video contest was part of the program that the students participated in that was optional for the student. The video topic could be anything water related that they learned throughout the program. The City would like to recognize three video contest winners.
