During fiscal year 2022, US Representative John Carter was able to secure $2M funding for the COPS Technology and Equipment Grant Program for fiscal year 2023, specifically for the CAD/RMS system to be replaced for the City of Round Rock’s dedicated dispatch center. The funding authorization is a place holder for a formal grant application to be submitted by the City.
The total expected project cost will be $3M and the remaining $1M has been appropriated from available General Self Finance Construction funds.
Staff recommends approval.
