Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Professional Consulting Services Agreement with Raba Kistner, Inc. for the construction materials testing services for the Greenlawn Boulevard Project.

The Greenlawn Boulevard Widening Project, approved by Council on October 24, 2019, consists of the expansion of Greenlawn Boulevard between IH-35 and SH-45. The improvements include roadway widening, new turn lanes, drainage enhancements, upgraded utilities, and associated infrastructure to improve mobility and reduce congestion along this key corridor. Austin Engineering Co. will serve as the general contractor for this project, with construction scheduled to begin in July 2025 and an anticipated duration of 14 months.
This contract with Raba Kistner, Inc. provides for construction materials testing services to verify compliance with project specifications. Services include field and laboratory testing of soils, concrete, and asphalt materials, along with sampling and quality assurance reporting. All testing will be coordinated with City inspection staff and performed on a call-out basis during the construction phase.
The cost of this agreement is $127,103.26.
