Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Guaranteed Price Amendment to the Construction Manager at Risk Standard Form of Agreement between the City and Hensel Phelps Construction Company for the Bob Bennett Complex Additional Phases Project.

 

Body

The attached Guaranteed Price Amendment (GMP) for the Bob Bennett Additional Phases maximum price is $45,446,821, which includes Phase 2 and Phase 5 of the project. Phase 2 includes a 45,000 square feet two story expansion to the existing Bob Bennett building with additional parking, 14,000 square feet shop expansion, 10,000 square feet warehouse/ storage expansion, covered parking for city vehicles, and additional parking for city equipment. The goal of the expansion is to accommodate all Public Works (Transportation and Utilities) Operation’s personnel, vehicles, and equipment at the Bob Bennett Complex. The expansion will also accommodate Neighborhood Services personnel, vehicles, and equipment. Phase 5 will include a new fuel storage, fueling island, electric vehicle charging, and vehicle/ equipment wash bays.

 

With approval of the GMP, Hensel Phelps is prepared to start construction in September 2025 and be substantially complete with construction by December 2026.

 

Cost: $45,446,821.00
