Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to issue a Purchase Order to GT Distributors, Inc. for the purchase of ammunition.

The proposed purchase order is a proactive attempt to ensure the Police Department has sufficient ammunition for training needs. In the FY 2023 budget, the Department received $235,000 in additional dollars for ammunition with the intention, essentially, to order a full year of ammunition needs. The purchase order attempts to address continuing supply chain and tight market conditions that the law enforcement community has been experiencing for several years. The amounts to be ordered were determined by the Training Division to meet the Department’s needs into the near future.
