Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute an Interlocal Agreement with Williamson County for participation in the updating of Atlas 14 models with LiDAR survey data.

Body

This Interlocal Agreement (ILA) between the City of Round Rock and Williamson County allows the City to participate in updating the County’s Atlas 14 Floodplain Mapping Study using 2024 LiDAR data. Scheduled for April-October 2026, this effort will refine hydrologic and hydraulic models within Round Rock to reflect recent development and improve flood risk accuracy. The City will contribute $205,988, paid in two installments, while the County manages the work through its consultants. This agreement is essential to ensure accurate floodplain data for infrastructure planning, public safety, and compliance with state and federal standards.
