Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the adoption of "City of Round Rock Title VI Program 2027-2029."

Body

The City of Round Rock, as a recipient of federal financial assistance, is required to ensure full compliance with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; 49 C.F.R. Part 21 (Department of Transportation Regulations for the Implementation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964); 49 C.F.R. Part 21; and related statues and regulations.   The City acknowledges that it is subject to and will comply with Federal Highway Administration Title VI Assurances.

This plan explains how the City incorporates the requirement of Title VI and related legal authorities into its operations.  The plan will be used as a reference for the City and informational resource for the public.  The plan is updated every three years to reflect changes in Title VI compliance operations.

The only major change for this year was the removal of the "Environmental Justice in Minority and Low Income Population" language, executive order 12898.  This order was revoked by executive order 14173 in January 2025, as part of a broader set of executive actions eliminating diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) polices.

No additional funding is required as part of this program.
