The Utilities & Environmental Services Department uses a variety of chemicals for the daily operations within the Water Treatment Plant, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Distribution, Wastewater Collection, and Environmental Services Divisions. A contract is required by state purchasing law for funding these services. The City previously entered into an agreement with Certified Laboratories that began August 30, 2019 and expired March 31, 2020. The Purchasing Department established this Buy Board contract since Certified Laboratories is on a purchasing cooperative through the Buy Board. This is a three-year contract with Certified Laboratories for a not-to-exceed amount of $180,000. This agreement will terminate on March 31, 2023.
