Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute Supplemental Contract No. 6 with Freese and Nichols, Inc. for the Chisholm Trail South Improvements (Old Town) Project.
Body
This project consists of the reconstruction of Chisholm Trail Road. The project will include full rehabilitation including new urban roadway section, drainage improvements, pedestrian improvements and landscaping on Chisholm Trail Road from RM 620 north to Sam Bass Road.
Supplement No. 6 consists of additional engineering services to prepare the roadway design, drainage, signing and pavement marking, illumination, and traffic control plan sheets for the Brushy Creek Culvert Extension. This work includes an upstream culvert extension at the low water crossing over Brushy Creek. This crossing will accommodate foot traffic between the north and south shores of Brushy Creek.
Supplemental No. 6 will add $221,103 in fees to the contract. The previous contract total was $1,219,023. Approval of this request will bring the total contract amount to $1,440,126.
