The City has completed its review of the competitive sealed bid proposals for the Smyers Lane and CR 122 Rehabilitation project. The bidding process followed the schedule outlines below, with the City's official bid opening held on Tuesday, May 19th, 2026. All bids were evaluated for responsiveness, and each was found to include the required documents and deemed responsive. The Estes Group, LLC, design consultant for the project, performed a comprehensive review and evaluation process of all bid packages. All bids were within 6% of the Engineer's estimate. The bid amounts range from $1,382,981 to $1,492,035. After reviewing the contractor's experience and bid price, the City recommends that the Smyers Lane/CR 122 Rehabilitation project be awarded to Aaron Concrete Contractors, LLC for the total bid amount of $1,382,981.
