Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a contract with Patin Construction LLC for the Old Settlers Boulevard Right Turn Lane (Eastbound) Project.

As a part of the Arterial Improvement Program - Bottleneck Projects, the City has decided to construct a eastbound right turn lane on Old Settlers Blvd at A.W. Grimes Blvd. This project will help ease congestion at this intersection by giving those drivers turning right their own dedicated lane and reducing their wait time.
The bid opening for the construction services contract was held on April 23, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. A total of three sealed bids were recieved. Patin Construction, LLC submitted a bid of $208,686.00. Aaron Concrete Contractors, LP submitted a bid of $224,728.10. Smith Contracting Company, Inc submitted a bid of $258,552.35. The appareent low bidder is Patin Construction, LLC with a bid of $208,686.00.
After reviewing and certifying the attached bid tabulation, CP&Y and the Trasportation Department staff recommend that Patin Construction, LLC, with a base bid of $208,686.00, be awarded the contract for the construction of this project.
