Title
Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Contract with Lockwood, Andrews, and Newnam, Inc. for the Parcel 150 - 36 inch Waterline Project.
Body
The northeast area of Round Rock, specifically east of A.W. Grimes Boulevard and north of County Road 172, does not currently have water and wastewater utilities in place to serve this area.  The City recently completed Water and Wastewater System Master Plans that have identified the necessary improvements for utilities in this part of Round Rock.
The Parcel 150 Water Line Project is one of the projects that will extend water infrastructure north of CR 112 in order to convey potable water to the northeast of Round Rock.  This Professional Services Contract is for the Design and Construction Phase Services for approximately 6,500 linear feet of potable water line from the existing 36-inch water line at the intersection of CR 112 and CR 117 north to University Boulevard. It will tie into the University Boulevard 36-inch Waterline Project to be designed and built during this same time frame. The City staff recommends awarding this contract to LAN, Inc. for the amount of $262,832.
In conjunction with this project, HDR Engineering, Inc. has been awarded a contract for the conceptual design for Arterial A, a four lane, Major Arterial-Divided roadway with sidewalks within a 110 foot-wide Right of Way (ROW).  LAN's design of the waterline will be located partially within the ROW of the future Arterial A.

Cost: $262,832.00
