Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Lease Agreement with Waste Specialties, LLC.

The City would like to enter into a Lease Agreement with Waste Specialties, LLC for City-owned property (old Burge Tract) located east of the intersection of Old Settlers Boulevard and N. Red Bud Lane. Waste Specialties has contracted with Republic Services to paint and rebrand their existing dumpsters that are located in Round Rock and the surrounding area. They will utilize the pole bar, horse barn, and garage that are existing buildings located on the property for this purpose.
The subject property has numerous piles of debris located all over the tract that the City has planned to remove for disposal at some time in the future. This agreement provides an opportunity to expedite this debris removal plan to the City’s benefit. In consideration of this lease, Waste Specialties will provide and deliver twenty 30-yard roll-off dumpsters on the property at no charge to the City. The roll-off dumpsters will be placed at locations as identified by the City so that debris on the property can be placed in the dumpsters. At this time, the City is planning to utilize Public Works staff and equipment to load the roll-off dumpsters at the site. Once the roll-off dumpsters are full, Waste Specialties will have the dumpsters hauled away and dispose of the debris.
This lease agreement will expire 12 months upon execution of this agreement by both parties.
