Title

Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to execute a Facilities Extension Agreement with Oncor Electric Delivery Company LLC for the Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Body

The Brushy Creek Regional Wastewater System (BCRWWS) East Treatment Plant Expansion to 30 million gallons per day (MGD) is a regional project with Round Rock along with other owners of the regional system Austin and Cedar Park.  Leander is buying into the treatment ownership with their participation in this project as well.  This agreement with ONCOR is for the BCRWWS portion of the electric services improvements to serve the East wastewater treatment plant.  These improvements include improved reliability by way of a true 2-way electric feed instead of the 2 legs of power currently being provided.  The system is also able to deliver higher loads to meet the plant’s current and future needs.  The percentage participation and cost for this agreement for each City is shown below.

Round Rock              12.0%                     $  43,299.83
Austin                        24.7%                     $  89,125.49
Cedar Park                21.0%                     $  75,774.70
Leander                     42.3%                     $152,631.90

Cost: $360,831.92
